A Season of Transitions: Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus Are All Changing Signs
A breakdown of the astrology for the next two months.
2025 is the year of change, astrologically speaking. This change mainly has to do with how all of the outer planets are changing signs within a short period of time. At the end of 2024, Pluto moved into Aquarius, then Neptune moved into Aries in March, and now looking ahead at the next two months, Saturn will move to Aries, Jupiter to Cancer, and Uranus to Gemini, in a quick succession. All of these planets have longer, more significant transits that define year or several year long themes happening in your life. These transits aren’t necessarily something you wake up and feel every single day, but when stepping back and reflecting on a specific moment of time, you will notice how a certain theme, defined by these planetary transits, was prevalent throughout that period. For today’s newsletter, we will be taking a closer look at what the shifts of Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus might mean for you.
I’m first going to give a breakdown of what Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus each mean in transit, and then we’ll get into themes that may pop up with these transits over the coming months. It’s important to keep in mind that while Jupiter is fully entering Cancer in June of this year until the end of June 2026, the transits of Saturn and Uranus are a bit different. Saturn and Uranus are only briefly in these new signs, so what unfolds or becomes prominent in your life over the next few months is a sneak preview for what the next few years will hold.
For a further in-depth interpretation of what these transits mean for your rising sign, you can always revisit my 2025 forecast for the year. Also, stay tuned for podcast episodes and correlating Youtube videos coming soon on each of these transits.
Before we get into it, this article I put out last year on the 12 houses is going to be very necessary as we walk through each of these transits, so you may want to keep it handy as you figure out how to interpret these transits to your own chart.
Jupiter
Let’s kick things off by talking about Jupiter. Jupiter moves into Cancer on June 9 and will stay in this sign until June 30, 2026, so a little over a year. You can check the house ruled by Cancer in your chart to note where you will feel the below themes related to Jupiter popping up. In the diagram below, you can see that Cancer is associated with the 3rd house. Transit Jupiter entering Cancer is circled.
Jupiter’s transit through a house of your chart signifies:
Where you are experiencing improvements, positive growth, and bigger opportunities
But also where you may be feeling like you’ve outgrown something - you will want to expand and break free of limitations in that area of your life
Where things may feel overwhelming and amplified, like there’s too much happening there
Where you are you learning to keep more of an open mind or furthering your education
Where you’re developing a more spiritual outlook or bigger picture mindset
Where themes related to travel, writing, or teaching may be popping up
For instance, having Jupiter transit your 12th house may amplify your emotions and make them unavoidable. But it will also have you deepening your connection to spirituality and your own intuition, or have you traveling to faraway places. It may be that you need those heavier feelings to surface and to spend greater time alone in order for you to find deeper meaning in your life or more of a spiritual connection to yourself. On the other hand, Jupiter transiting the 10th house or the 6th house will make work feel all consuming. You may want to break free of a job that feels restricting or take on a role where you feel more challenged, like you’re learning and growing in your career. Jupiter in a work-related house may also incorporate themes of writing, publishing, teaching, education, or travel into what you’re establishing at work during that time.
Jupiter is coming out of its year long transit of Gemini, which honestly did not go as well as I thought it would. Gemini is the sign of Jupiter’s detriment, as it is opposite to Sagittarius, one of the signs Jupiter rules. Therefore, Jupiter wasn’t able to function to its full potential and bring out the most positive results while it was in Gemini. In addition, Jupiter has been squaring Saturn in Pisces (see diagram below), so Saturn was hindering Jupiter’s growth over the last year. Looking back at the Gemini ruled house of your chart, reflect on how over the past year that may have been an area of your life in which you wanted to expand and grow, but there may have also been challenges, tension, or extra work and effort that came up along the way.
I have way higher hopes for Jupiter in Cancer, because this is the sign of Jupiter’s exaltation. All of the themes we just went over for a Jupiter transit are more likely to come to full fruition, and it will feel easier to realize the themes of whatever house Jupiter will be activating for you. Having the sign of Cancer amplified by Jupiter may also make matters of the home and family more important to everyone. In addition to the themes of the Cancer ruled house in your chart, you might be taking a greater interest in activities like hosting people in your home, decorating your living space, moving, or connecting with family and nurturing close relationships over the coming year. You may even step into the role of being a bigger nurturer yourself.
Aside from one final square with Saturn in Aries in June of this year, Jupiter and Saturn will finally be separating from one another, allowing Jupiter to expand an area of your life with no delays or restrictions. We haven’t had Jupiter in a sign it thrives in since 2022, when it was in Pisces, so this is a transit to be excited about!
Saturn
A couple weeks prior to Jupiter entering Cancer, Saturn will be dipping into Aries from May 25 until September 1 of this year. Then it will fully return to Aries from February 13, 2026 - April 12, 2028. Therefore, whatever interests or feelings that become prominent over the next three months in the Aries ruled house of your chart will be foreshadowing themes you will continue to develop over the next three years. We’re experiencing a sneak preview of what comes next.
Saturn’s transit through a house in your chart signifies:
where you may feel stress and increased responsibilities weighing down on you
Where you’re having to put in extra effort to build lasting structures in an area of your life.
Where you’re putting in hard work at the moment and not seeing immediate results, but knowing that you will see a reward there eventually
Where you may be met with delays, obstacles, or need to do things more thoroughly. Keep in mind that Saturn takes time.
An area in which you want to take your commitments more seriously - considering who and what will serve you in the long term.
For instance, having Saturn transit through the 5th house of your chart will likely have you being more serious about your creativity. You may want to put effort into building a side project or putting more of your personality and voice into your work. You could also be working past a fear of criticism and learning how to be more fully yourself around people. On another note, it may be that the hard work is coming through pregnancy and children and devoting more attention to that part of your life. Meanwhile, Saturn transiting the 2nd or 8th house of your chart often has a lot to do with finances and finding greater structure there. There can be an initial stress that comes with this transit of maybe not feeling like you have enough money or feeling the pressure to get more organized with your spending habits. In a way, both of these Saturn transits push you to create stronger financial structures for yourself, among other themes.
Saturn is wrapping up its 2.5 year long transit of Pisces, where it has been since March of 2023. Saturn will have several more months in Pisces at the end of 2025 and into early 2026, before it fully returns to Aries next February. As Saturn prepares to leave the Pisces ruled house of your chart, you may want to reflect back on how stressful the topics of that house may have felt to you back in 2023. Do you feel like you have a better understanding or even a sense of mastery over this part of your life now? How might you have completely restructured the way you went about this area throughout the past two years?
Aries is the sign of Saturn’s fall, meaning that it’s a bit more challenging to bring about productive results when it's in this sign. However, it could also mean that we’re feeling the intensity of Saturn a bit less, since it can’t exert its power so easily. I still believe that Saturn in Aries will be easier than Saturn in Pisces, which felt very emotionally sensitive, was a lot about exploring your inner self, and also made it harder to determine what was real and what wasn’t.
For the first several months of Saturn in Aries, it will be conjoining Neptune there, so the Pisces vibe lingers for a bit into early 2026. There may be a structure or mindset or past way of doing things in the Aries ruled house of your chart that needs to be dissolved first before you can set up new structures or long term goals for yourself there. It may also be that you’re making a bigger effort (Saturn) to inject compassion, creativity, or spirituality (Neptune) into that part of your life.
I expect the end of 2026 into 2027 period of Saturn’s transit through Aries to be noticeably easier, as Saturn comes into a trine with Jupiter and the South Node in Leo. But overall, key themes to keep in mind during this transit is that you will want to be more proactive about building something new for yourself, developing better leadership skills, or working on being more direct and confident in the Aries ruled house of your chart.
Uranus
And finally, we have Uranus moving out of Taurus and into Gemini on July 7. Uranus will be in Gemini until November 8, before fully returning to this sign on April 25, 2026 - May 22, 2033. So similar to Saturn, this several month period in 2025 is a sneak peak of what’s to come throughout the end of the 2020s and into the early 2030s. As seen in the diagram below, check the house ruled by Gemini in your chart to see what themes will be affected by the Uranus transit themes mentioned below.
Uranus transits signify:
Where you’re experiencing a series of changes that build upon one another over an 8 year period
Where unexpected shifts might be occurring, and you could end up going in a direction you never could have anticipated
It’s hard to know what’s coming with Uranus, because it takes you by surprise and completely shakes up the house of your chart that it’s transiting
Where you’re breaking free from restrictions and developing more of an open mind and a greater sense of freedom
May be drawn to interests having to do with that house of your chart that you have never explored before
A breaking free from the status quo
For example, Uranus transiting the 4th house of someone’s chart may signal a major move for that person, or possibly a series of home moves that take place throughout the entire Uranus transit period. It may also be that you’re seeing your family relationships in a completely different way, or family members are going through significant changes themselves during this time. To contrast, Uranus transiting the 1st house may have you seeing yourself and your overall identity in a new light. You may want to drastically change the way you dress or how you show up in the world. Completely different interests and personal goals may come to you during this time, and it can be an 8 year period of stepping into a newfound sense of personal power.
Uranus has been fully in Taurus since 2019, so it could be interesting to reflect on the Taurus ruled house of your chart and take note of how much change that area of your life has undergone during that time. For instance, Taurus is my 10th house, and I quit my job in fashion to be a full time astrologer at the very start of that transit in 2019, and over the last several years my role and what I do on a daily basis as an astrologer has continued to evolve and change. Though the most drastic change happened at the start of this transit, a series of smaller career changes continued to play out the entire time Uranus was in my 10th house.
As Uranus enters Gemini for a few months in 2025, notice how you suddenly have a desire to make a change in that Gemini ruled house of your chart. If things feel stagnant in that part of your life now, it might be that you’re figuring out a new approach to this area over the next few months before fully taking a leap and making a change in 2026. And if you have an angle (AC, DC, MC, IC) in the house that Uranus is entering, expect that transit to reach peak change or peak intensity when it reaches the exact degree of that angle. In the diagram below, you can see how Uranus is exactly conjunct this person’s Midheaven angle in 2029, so out of the entire transit of Uranus through Gemini, their 10th house, from 2025-2033, they will likely feel the most amount of change happening with career and overall life calling happen during that specific year.
Because Uranus will be in this communication oriented sign of Gemini, it will also have you taking a different approach to how you share ideas and information. You might be experimenting with new forms of content, or you could have sudden inspiration for writing or speaking related work. You might also be introduced to new people and be widening your social network in unexpected ways. In addition, Uranus will be trining Pluto in Aquarius over the next couple of years, which will link these themes of change and deeper transformation between the Gemini and Aquarius ruled houses of your chart. Because these planets are both in the element of air, those two houses will naturally share similar themes.
So as you can see, as we enter the next few months of 2025, it’s so important to take note of what new themes begin to surface for you. If you’re feeling pulled to make a bigger shift in an area of your life, don’t ignore those intuitive feelings, because they will just continue to grow and be felt more strongly over the next several years. And if you’re already noticing how these transits are taking hold for you, feel free to leave your experiences in the comments below. I love seeing how these transits play out in a very literal way in people’s lives.
Uranus def brought major changes in my career (10th house). At the start of it I had quit my career/job in health tech to move to Spain and be an English teacher. Now I work in marketing and starting business in spirituality/astrology. Already feeling the 11th house energy! Lots of intuitive pull to create community events.
Thanks for sharing this! I appreciate being able to reflect on the previous house of these long-term transits and consider the future transits with that context.
